Montgomery Christopher Jorgensen Scott called by his shipmates ‘Scotty’ is a fictional character in the science fiction franchise Star Trek. First portrayed by James Doohan in the original Star Trek series.
Scotty (serial number SE 19754) served for almost thirty years as Chief Engineer and Second Engineer in USS Enterprise and USS Enterprise-A, both under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. Having the reputation as a “miracle worker”, he was a man of superior technical and engineering skill, experience and ingenuity. Despite his superior talents as an engineer, he was often the source of comic relief among the Enterprise crew due to his use of Scots language.
As you have already noticed 4scotty is attaching a big importance to this character and all this it’s not without reason.

So we wanted to choose a name that expresses our appreciation for their amazing abilities. Who enjoys a higher reputation than the ingenious chief engineer and lieutenant commander of the USS Enterprise, Montgomery Scott, when it comes to tech and engineering?
